Daily schedule

Our daily schedule offers time for children to participate in both group activities and independent child choice activities. 

Arrival and Breakfast

7:00 a.m. – 9:00a.m.

Children participate in quiet activities and eat breakfast. As children finish breakfast, they can visit learning centers until most children have arrived and are finished eating.

Morning circle:

9:00 a.m. – 10:00a.m.

Morning meeting is a time to greet everyone and start our day. Activities at morning meeting include children’s jobs, pledge of allegiance, calendar, weather, introduction of new letters and numbers of the week and introduce the days activities.

Child choice time:

10:00 a.m. – 10:45 a.m.

A variety of developmentally appropriate activities that encourage learning in all areas of development, as well as a curriculum facilitated activity.

Clean up time

10:45 a.m. – 11:00 a.m.

All children work together to clean up our class room.

Lunch time:

11:00 a.m. – 11:50 a.m.

Our program has a peanut free policy. Children begin lunch time with hand washing and participate in serving and clean-up. A fresh home cooked “family style meal” is served. Milk is provided with lunch. 

Clean up time:

11:50 a.m. – 12:30 p.m

The staff will help children clean up after their lunch (hand-washing, face-clean up, etc). Setting up for Quiet Time and Story Time. 

Quiet time & Story Time:

12:30 p.m. – 2:00 p.m.

Children nap or rest quietly. As children wake up, they can select from different quiet activities such looking at books or story time with a staff member. 

Afternoon Snack:

2:00 p.m. – 2:30 p.m.

Our program has a peanut free policy. Children begin snack with hand washing and participate in serving and clean-up. Snacks will be provided by the parents but all snacks must be nutritional and low in sugar.  We will provide guidance on healthy snack choices. 

Learning Centers & Homework:

2:30 p.m. – 3:15 p.m

Class begins a theme-related activity in one of the learning centers. Children participate and explore other learning centers with theme-related experiences that change weekly.

After-school children will do their homework with the guidance of a staff member. 

Physical activity:

3:15 p.m. – 4:00 p.m.

Children participate in active play outdoors and in our indoor in cold or poor weather.

Dinner Time:

4:00 p.m. – 4:30 p.m.

Our program has a peanut free policy. Children begin lunch time with hand washing and participate in serving and clean-up. A fresh home cooked “family style meal” is served. Milk is provided with lunch. 

Goodbye and Free Play:

4:30 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.

Children engage in free play as they get pick up by their parents.
