We are so lucky to have this gem in our neighborhood. Headstart daycare is an amazing place. My son started 4 years ago (ha was barely a year and half old) and he definitely grew up with them! I can proudly say that they did an amazing job! The staff is fantastic, they supported us in each step of his growth, from helping us with potty training (working full-time we could only train him in the weekends) to helping with speech and development of other skills. Last year my son started preK-4 but still we could let this amazing people go and so we still enrolled him with them instead of picking the after school program offered by the school and needless to say that it was the best choice ever! They were picking him up from school and supporting with remote learning. So when school was closed we didn’t have to worry a single second how to manage things between him and my work. The daycare is super cleaned and we didn’t have a single issue during Covid. My son loves the food they provide and other than drop him off and picking him up I really don’t have to worry about anything else. We truly love this place and wish we can give 10 stars!

After touring multiple facilities, my husband and I decided on Headstart daycare and we couldn't be happier. The staff care so much and are actively involved in how YOU want your child raised. It was such a hard decision to leave my son 2.5 yrs old in daycare but they take care of him like their own. They even do school pick up, for my daughter since she was 7 yrs old. We are so grateful for the many wonderful years that the kids have had there. My kids come home talking about how they loves Headstart daycare and it honestly warms my heart that they made such a strong bond with them. They care for the children very well and facility is the cleanest one I've ever been to. They really want to do what is best for the kids and that includes finding the best staff to assist them. If a staff is not a good fit, they sure to let them know right away because they always puts the kids first. They provides nutritious home cooked meals daily. I will always have nothing but positive things to say about Headstart daycare. If you bring your child to Headstart daycare you will not be sorry. It will be your child/children second home feeling. This daycare has giving me and my wife a piece of mind. My son has been with them since he was 1 and a half and he is now 5 and my daughter who is 2 has been excelling every month.

As a first time parent and an employee of the city I’ve always been really nervous about any type of public interaction with my only child. when my daughter started daycare with Headstart daycare she was getting ready to turn two, my daughter was not speaking she was barely standing she was crawling but she wasn’t socialized she was very sheltered before she started daycare. Now my daughters getting ready to turn four she can count past 100 and she knows her colors and shapes, her ABC, she knows the different animals in both English and Spanish she’s full of personality and very social. I’m very grateful to the Headstart daycare team for everything that they do for her all the work all the support during Covid and just being who they are. I highly recommend them for any parent that’s looking for a phenomenal team that will work with your children as well as the parents alike.

We are really happy and bless to work with them; my 2 daugthers are being growing there being almost five years already and we are really thankful with their great Job and professional service; I can go to work on peace because I know they are well care .

Where do I start how lucky I was to find this daycare for my son 3 years ago. This daycare was very professional and thorough from day 1 during the parent orientation the Education teacher reviewed everything to ensure that I felt comfortable and knew what to expect from them. My enjoyed attending everyday and when he had speech services they were to accommodate him. Safety is key for them, they remember everyone’s faces and create a relationship with each family. I guess that’s why I kept him there the sense of family I felt and saw. I even brought my second son at 3 mths and Yolanda treated him like her grandchild which she does with all the kid’s but to see how my son’s eyes lit up when she opened the door every morning was very reassuring. The daycare is open even on days when school is closed so it help not having to worry what to do when schools are closed. If you’re looking for a safe loving place to care for your child then Woodhaven Headstart is the place to be. Had it not been for the pandemic and the change in location to further East, both my boys would still be there. What I miss most about them is their little projects, personalized projects each child did for me and my husband. The holiday celebrations full meals!!! My boys were well fed everyday!
